It’s here!! The first Gristle Butter issue of the school year. Clocking in at Issue #18, this zine is contains poetry (in multiple languages), art, and for the first time ever, a contest!
World Building Class Posters
Over the course of the semester, the World Building Workshop students each created their own fictional worlds. This involved researching historical, social, literary, and/or scientific principles to give their worlds internal consistency. They manifested their worlds through a combination of small specific assignments, and a larger project to present their world in the form of written fiction, a game/game system, or other creative format of their choice. They presented their world to us through an end of the semester poster session for all to enjoy.

Richmond Zine Fest ’24
Current and recent members of Zine Club ran a CHS booth at the Richmond Zine Fest, where they traded, bought, and sold zines with hundreds of other zine-makers. Maddox and Olchar also each had their own booths at the event.
It was also a wonderful opportunity to meet up with other CHS Zine Alumni who returned for the event, some of whom have been attending this zine fest for nearly a decade! The photo shows the students who got together for dinner in a park before heading home.
