Colorful Density Columns

Density columns are such a visually appealing and educational experiment, so we couldn’t resist sharing a photo of this year’s color creations! By creating several concentrations of sugar and water with food coloring, our Chemistry students were able to create their choice of design by layering the different solutions which stay separated by their densities.  It’s always a satisfying experiment.
