Calculus Retreat 2025

“Little Women” Trip to the Theater
The Transcendentalists & Suffragettes class visited the American Shakespeare Center for their lovely production of “Little Women”. After reading this classic novel by Louisa May Alcott, the students enjoyed the fresh adaptation played out before their very eyes. The cold rain, however, did cause them to have to relocate their picnic plans.

Warren & Ambrielle (’19) at PCACAC
While attending the Potomac & Chesapeake Association for College Admission Counseling (PCACAC) conference, Warren bumped in to his former student, Ambrielle Viney (’19). Ambrielle is now the Assistant Director of Admissions at the University of Lynchburg and was participating in a panel at the conference.

CHS Students Travel To Málaga, Spain

Reebop Chromosomes
To demonstrate biological concepts and processes, our students created baby Reebops out of marshmallows and gumdrops. They used parent Reebop chromosomes to determine their features, and it’s a great illustration of how genetics is responsible for both similarities and differences within a species. Plus, they’re super cute!


UV Yeast Experiment
