Morningside Urban Farm
The Farms class visited Morningside Urban Farm and met with farmer Hannah Patrick and Angela Charlton, Carilion Community Health Educator & Morningside Urban Farm Coordinator, to learn about SE Roanoke’s own small farm and garden and the many cool community events happening there. Farms Class Visits VWCC Arboretum
The Farms class visited Virginia Western Community College to see their apiary, greenhouse, hydroponics setup, and arboretum. Thank you to VWCC professors Heather Butler (alum parent) and Jenifer Kurtz (current parent) for showing us around!

Spring 2025 Community Service Day
For our final Community Service Day of the year, we partnered with Roanoke City Parks and Recreation and the YMCA Express at Gainsboro. The Parks and Recreation group removed invasive species and painted fences along the Greenway, while the YMCA group helped out with a variety of projects at the facility.


Calculus Retreat 2025
Our Calculus students had the opportunity to participate in a three day retreat at Smith Mountain Lake. They studied hard preparing for their AP exams, but they also took time to enjoy each other’s company, and have some fun. Also… they welcomed back a very special guest – Bethany!
