College Preparation
Due to our size and the stability of our faculty, we offer comprehensive and sustained advice throughout the transition to higher education. This assistance, both formal and informal, consists of regularly scheduled and unscheduled meetings with students and parents, support during college tours, and regular communication with admissions personnel at other colleges.
For seniors in their fall semester, we designate two days as a Senior Retreat. During this retreat, we provide a quiet and dedicated time and space for seniors to begin crafting admissions essays and to engage in an in-depth examination of the admissions process as a group. The goal of this retreat is for the senior class to begin the challenging, and often isolating, admissions process together, to be productive, to bond as a class, and to rely on their peers for support during this process.
