Although it is an independent school, Community High takes its responsibilities as a citizen organization seriously; we do not wish for our students or our faculty to work or live separately from the community at large. We believe strongly in the value of diversity of ideas and cultures, and we work to bring to our area artists and scholars, local and international, who share our commitment to pushing limits and exploring boundaries.
Service extends beyond intellectual programming. Our central location allows our students to intern or volunteer at a variety of institutions devoted to refugees, the elderly, social justice and the environment. Collectively, we have undertaken several projects during devoted campus-wide service days.
